Building Bharatvan
Once an abandoned quarry, Bharatvan stands today as a testament to the transformative power of community effort.
Before 1999, this plot of land lay barren, but through the collective dedication of Marol’s citizens, it has blossomed into a vibrant mini rainforest—the heart and green lung of our neighbourhood.
The Outcome
Today, Bharatvan is home to over 700 trees and shrubs, providing sanctuary to numerous species of birds, reptiles, and butterflies.
NUCT has proudly undertaken the responsibility of Bharatvan’s upkeep, ensuring its preservation for future generations. Through regular tree plantation drives and painting activities, we strive to enhance both the aesthetic appeal and sustainability of this cherished oasis.
